
Jesse Whitford
Lead Pastor
Jesse, who spent most of his childhood in Baker City, graduated from Boise Bible College in 2005 with a BA in Christian Education and Preaching. Jesse and his wife Jen began serving in Children and Youth ministry in the fall of 2005 and in April of 2010 Jesse transitioned into the Lead Pastor role at BCCC. Jesse and Jen have two children, Jayden and Jace. Jesse is passionate about teaming with families, youth and children, in an effort to help them fulfill God's purposes for their life. Jesse and Jen feel very blessed to have the opportunity to work with this body of believers and in this community of Baker City, OR.

Beth DeMastus
Children's director
Beth DeMastus started at Baker City Christian Church in August of 2016. Beth and her husband, Cliff have a daughter named Elsie and son named Nolan. They have been members of BCCC for several years. They both have a deep Christ-centered love for children and families and a strong desire to help others grow in their knowledge and love of Christ. Beth has a BA in Elementary Education. She has spent the past two years as the 1st and 2nd grade teacher at Brooklyn Primary. Beth is excited to be a part of the staff a Baker City Christian Church and reach out to children in the community.

Aly Arel
Assistant children's director
Aly grew up in Baker City and then went to Eugene attending U of O where she studied Family and Human Services. After graduation Aly then worked in a local Church for 7 years doing Youth, hospitality, and Kids Ministry. Aly brings a wealth of experience to our staff team and is eager to team with Beth to see Kids grow in their knowledge of God’s Word and in their relationship with Him. Aly is married to Ryan and the have 3 littles (Truett, Quincy, and Calvin). We are truly blessed to have Aly and her family here, and we’re excited to see what God will continue to do in our Church Body as we invest in future generations!

Whitney Witherspoon
Administrative assistant
Whitney began serving as the administrative assistant at BCCC in April of 2016. Whitney has a deep desire for ministry and loves to use her administrative skills to further God's kingdom. She grew up in Union and was active in her church. She attended EOU and continued to serve through Christian summer camps and children's groups. Whitney has her B.A. degree in Business Management and has worked in several positions that have utilized her administrative and organizational gifts. Whitney and her husband, Kelby are excited to make Baker City their home and serve in the community.

Bob Borders
building and grounds maintenance director
Bob Borders started taking care of the building and facilities at BCCC in 2019. Bob can fix just about anything, and loves working behind the scenes. Bob has a heart for serving God and others and is a huge blessing to BCCC.
